By accessing or using CART402 ("Service", "Protocol", "SDK"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Merchant", "you") and CART402 ("we", "us", "our").
Description of Service
CART402 is a decentralized payment protocol that enables cryptocurrency payments using:
- HTTP 402 Protocol: Payment Required status code implementation
- Solana Blockchain: Transaction processing and settlement
- SDK: TypeScript/JavaScript library for integration
- API: RESTful endpoints for payment processing
Eligibility
To use CART402, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- Not be located in a sanctioned country
- Own or control a valid Solana wallet
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Account Registration
Wallet Requirements
- You must provide a valid Solana wallet address
- You are solely responsible for securing your wallet
- We cannot recover lost wallet keys or passwords
- You must not share wallet credentials
Merchant Accounts
- Provide accurate business information
- Maintain valid e-commerce platform credentials (if applicable)
- Update information promptly if it changes
- Comply with platform terms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.)
Account Security
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Use strong passwords and enable 2FA where available
- Do not share API keys or access tokens
Acceptable Use
You May:
- ✅ Use the Service for legitimate e-commerce transactions
- ✅ Integrate with your existing platforms
- ✅ Process payments for legal goods and services
- ✅ Develop applications using our SDK
You May Not:
- ❌ Violate any laws or regulations
- ❌ Process payments for illegal goods or services
- ❌ Engage in fraudulent activities
- ❌ Abuse, harass, or harm others
- ❌ Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- ❌ Attempt to gain unauthorized access
- ❌ Reverse engineer or decompile the SDK
- ❌ Use the Service for money laundering
- ❌ Process payments for restricted items (weapons, drugs, etc.)
- ❌ Create fake transactions or manipulate data
Fees & Payments
Transaction Fees
- Platform Fee: 0% (no CART402 fees)
- Network Fee: Solana gas fees (~$0.0001-0.001 per transaction)
- Fee Responsibility: Customers pay network fees
Future Fee Changes
We reserve the right to introduce fees in the future with:
- 30 days advance notice
- Option to cancel service before fees take effect
- Clear communication via email and website
Payment Processing
- All payments are processed in cryptocurrency (USDC on Solana)
- Transactions are final and irreversible
- We do not store or handle fiat currency
- Settlement occurs on-chain within ~400ms
Refunds & Disputes
No Chargebacks
Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. There are no chargebacks.
Refund Policy
- Merchants set their own refund policies
- Refunds are processed as new on-chain transactions
- Merchants bear refund costs (network fees)
- We provide refund functionality but do not enforce policies
Disputes
- Disputes are between merchants and customers
- We may provide transaction data to assist resolution
- We do not mediate or arbitrate disputes

Your IP

Service Provided "As Is"
CART402 IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

No Guarantees
We do not guarantee:
- Specific uptime or availability
- Transaction success rates

- Compatibility with all platforms
- Protection against blockchain failures
Blockchain Risks
You acknowledge and accept risks including:
- Network congestion and delays
- Smart contract vulnerabilities
- Wallet security issues
- Cryptocurrency volatility
- Regulatory changes
- Loss of access to funds
Limitation of Liability
Maximum Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CART402 SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, or data
- Business interruption
- Loss of cryptocurrency or funds
- Security breaches or hacks
- Third-party actions
Liability Cap
Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD or the fees you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
No Liability For:
- Blockchain network failures
- Wallet provider issues
- E-commerce platform outages
- Your violation of these Terms
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Regulatory or legal actions
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CART402 and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
- Your content or products
- Disputes with your customers
Termination
By You
You may stop using the Service at any time by:
- Removing the SDK from your application
- Deleting API keys
- Discontinuing integrations
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You violate these Terms
- We detect fraudulent activity
- Required by law
- To protect the Service or other users
Effects of Termination
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- Blockchain transactions remain permanent
- Certain provisions survive termination (IP, liability, etc.)
- You remain liable for all prior transactions
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
- Add or remove features
- Change API endpoints or SDK functionality
- Introduce new versions
We will provide reasonable notice of material changes but are not liable for modifications.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
Material changes will be communicated via:

- Prominent website notice
- GitHub repository announcement
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree, stop using the Service.
